Advanced Concepts (CD only) $15
Spin Cycle’s latest project Advanced Concepts in Rhythm and Harmony for Small Jazz Ensemble made possible by a grant from The Fieldston School. The CD and accompanying book of sheet music and instructional material (available separately) features nine original compositions by Tom Christensen designed to introduce young musicians to metric modulation, polychords, polytonality, odd time signatures and keys, meter changes and various advanced scales, chords and improvisational techniques. The CD is includes a full performance of each composition by Spin Cycle.
